Jiro's Younger Brother: The Formidable Enemy Hakaider! (ジローの弟 強敵ハカイダー!, Jirō no Otōto Kyōteki Hakaidā!) is the thirty-seventh episode of Android Kikaider.

Synopsis[]

Jiro saves a little girl from Starfish Purple, but Gill's flute causes him to be deemed by police as a murderer. Meanwhile, DARK forces Dr. Komyoji to create the evil warrior, Hakaider.

Notes[]

  • This episode aired on NET along with Kamen Rider V3 episode 6, Enter, Hammer-Jellyfish! V3 Unleash Your Killing Technique!!.
  • This episode hints that when Jiro transforms he isn`t necessarily speaking, as he was rendered mute yet still shouted his battle cry when transforming.
  • This episode officially introduces Saburo/Hakaider.
  • This is the only episode in which a Destructoid is not defeated.

Errors[]

  • If Mitsuko`s friend saw Komyoji being attacked by Jiro, then wouldn`t she have seen Purple Starfish and the androids abduct Komyoji?
  • Despite DARK's terrorist activities being known by the general public as far back as episode 7, the police somehow failed to recognize their involvement in Dr. Komoyji's disappearance, as well as conveniently forgetting about their heists in the previous episode.
  • Considering Jiro's extremely advanced functions as a robot, it is quite baffling that the police would treat him in the same manner as an ordinary criminal; somehow believing that metal chains and three guards would restrain Jiro from escaping.
  • Despite what the Narrator said, Jiro does indeed harm the scientists and several police officers in the next episode to break out of jail.
  • Even if Jiro could not speak, he could have simply wrote down his defense on paper when questioned by the police.
  • The police's handlement of this case would be illegal in real life. Assuming that Jiro is deemed as a "mere machine" in such a short time, he would still be considered an item of possession for the Komyoji family, meaning that that the scientists cannot dismember him without permission.
